there is some good points here ... but the majority is political fear mongering ... the future thinking HASN"T stopped .. Some countries without space programs have been very forward thinking ... Our hope is not wrapped around the ability to throw a man into space .. That said ... i think it will be a sad day when we dont try .. i think the answer is the one that is already forming .. a World space program ...not just an American or Russian etc..
