Those are called Caymen balls, They are solid and react the same when struck with a club but fly a much shorter distance.Traditional balls are wound as stated above.

I have to call shenanigans. Years ago my buddies adapted their spud guns to take LP gas. Then they reduced the bore to golf ball size. Those things were scary! they would go thru 5/8 plywood at about 20 ft. @ about 50 ft they would bounce off a train car at frightening velocity. @ about the same distance shot into a huge cement block next to the tracks the golf ball would just disintegrate. I dont know if they changed the insides of a golf ball nowadays, maybe their made differently.
