Yamata replied to Cerberus's comment on Sea Hunt

To be honest with you I've spent a lot of time in pools and have been a kayaker for nearly 2 decades now. Pretty much grew up in the water like he did. When I was around 9 years old I would dive down to the deep end of an Olympic sized swimming pool at UALR and hold my breath even longer than this. The record is 22:22 by hyperventilating 100% pure oxygen and 11:35 using the normal method. To me it was like watching someone run a mile non stop. All it takes is training so it isn't exactly amazing. But if you noticed, I didn't neg the upload. It made me feel a bit more cultured. :)

Great, now retry that feat moving around. Moving will use up your oxygen faster. The guy in the clip wasn't sitting still behind a computer, now was he?

Cerberus commented on Brazilbilly's Camouflaged

Money can't buy taste. The owner of this car should be fucking shot in the mouth for having such bad taste. Fuck that he bought it with his money and he can do what ever he likes with it. There are limits!

That hawk didn't flinch one inch and called the cat's bluff. If that would have been a poker game the hawk would be flying home with all the money.

Cerberus commented on ancientmariner's All that work for nothing

Reminds me of Ernest hemingway's "The old man and the sea".
And old fisherman catches a big Marlin and struggles for 3 days to haul in the big fish and straps it to the boatside.
As he heads for port sharks attack the Marlin and after a vain struggle, the Marlin is devoured by the sharks, leaving the exausted old man to return with only the skeleton of the fish.
Very nice book and heres a link with a even more detailed briefing of the story if you don't care for reading the whole book, which I recommend that you do though.
