Regardless of the price, it's great that the WTC is being reconstructed. The modern, civilized world should move on and overcome the dark moment of the attacks
Cat, I don't think most level headed Americans will overcome the attacks. There are a lot of people that do not swallow all of the details of the attacks. Too many unanswered questions. Not enough hard evidence to tie all the pieces together.
Life is not fair and it often leaves lots of unanswered questions. I have my questions too and they are related to how the US gov managed the whole situation, from the historic relation with the people that organized the attacks, to the actual attacks, to the strict laws that followed and large spendings done all in the name of protecting the people. But above all this, being able to move on and to something better is a good thing.
Personally I think, that the Twin Towers and the other WTC buildings should have been built back just as before, but each, should've been one story taller! The gaping whole to me is nothing but a sore spot that will never heal!
I would have gone with something, bigger, better and more defiant than anything seen before. But I am sure a lot of thought went into this plan and a lot of voices had to be taken into consideration. Again, no matter how hard, we should learn to move on, while not repeating the same mistakes again
