Elephant Prosthetic

Brazilbilly thanks for the upload! I remember reading about motola years ago when this happened. She was a retired logging elephant and after she had this happen, her owner coaxed her to walk 3 days on her exploded foot! the story was really heart breaking because her owner said that each step was excruciating for her( obviously) and did whatever he could to keep her moving thru the jungle toward help...I remember something about the delay in her surgery because she had been fed amphetamines for 25 or 30 years and it caused liver or kidney problems that may have caused complications. I believe she was just fitted with her permanent prosthetic only 3 or 4 years ago. I could be wrong but they may have taught her to put it on herself?Maybe?
