Reminds me of Ernest hemingway's "The old man and the sea". And old fisherman catches a big Marlin and struggles for 3 days to haul in the big fish and straps it to the boatside. As he heads for port sharks attack the Marlin and after a vain struggle, the Marlin is devoured by the sharks, leaving the exausted old man to return with only the skeleton of the fish. Very nice book and heres a link with a even more detailed briefing of the story if you don't care for reading the whole book, which I recommend that you do though.
